The aim of the higher education specialisation is to train medical diagnostic assistant professionals who, as members of the health care team, practice their profession and are able to carry out ethical, legal, health and safety duties. They are able to carry out sampling, sample preparation, analysis, documentation and archiving tasks in compliance with quality control rules. They may also apply their skills in practice in the country or institution where applicable legislation, guidelines and protocols allow this.
